Fast and Slow The goal of this beginning rhythmic concept is for students to develop the ability to recognize fast and slow tempi. Beat At the end of the Kindergarten year students will begin the concept of steady beat. The goal is for the beat to be even, steady and constant. Melodic
Loud and Soft This beginning melodic concept is for students to recognize loud and soft noises in speaking and singing. Also, to be able to express loud and soft in speaking, singing and playing and instrument. And lastly, to be able to change from loud to soft and from soft to loud. High and Low This is the next step in melodic concepts after loud and soft. The goal is for students to recognize and demonstrate high and low with spatial motions, speaking, singing, and playing instruments. |
